    Explanation :

    Arnav's present age = x years

    Palash's present age = 3 x years

    After seven years.

    3x + 7 = 2(x+7)

    =>3x + 7 = 2x + 14

     => x = 7

    Arnav's present age = 7 years

    Palash present age = 21 years

    After another 14 years i.e. 21 years

    Arnav's age = 28 years

    Palash's age = 42 years

    Required answer is = 42/28  =  1.5
