- The ratio of angles of a triangle is 3 : 5 : 7. What is the difference between double the smallest angle and half of the largest angle?
Answer : Option D
Explanation :
Let the angles be 3x, 5x and 7x respectively
3x + 5x + 7x = 180
=> 15x = 180
=> x = 180/15
=> x = 12
Smallest angle = 3 * 12 = 36 degrees
Largest angle = 7 * 12 = 84 degrees
Required difference is 2 * 36 - 84/2 = 72 - 42
= 30 degrees
