The perimeter of a square is one-fourth the perimeter of a rectangle. If the perimeter of the square is 44 cms and the length of the rectangle is 51 cms, what is the difference between the breadth of the rectangle and the side of the square?
Answer : Option C
Explanation :
Perimeter of rectangle = 4 * 44
= 176 cm.
Width of rectangle
= (176/2) - 51 = 37 cm.
Side of square
= Perimeter/4 = 44/4 = 11 cm.
∴ Required Difference = 37 - 11 = 26 cm
