The Peacock Throne (Takht-e-Taus) was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan under the commission of goldsmith Bedradal Khan in the year 1628. It was first
put at Diwan-i-Aam (Agra Fort) and then moved to DiwanTi-Khas (Red Fort) during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Nadir Shah invaded India in 1739 and took Peacock Throne and Koh-i-noor diamond with him.
