    Distance covered by B in 45 seconds = 100 meters
    Distance covered by B in 9 seconds = (100/45) * 9 = 20 meters
    So, when A covers 100 meters in 36 seconds, B was 20 meters away from the winning post. Thus, A beats B by 20 meters.
