    Explanation :

    Let the numbers be x, x+2, x+4,
    ∴ (x + x+2) - (x+4) = 5
    2x + 2 - x - 4 = 5
    X - 2 = 5
    X = 5+2 = 7
    ∴ Second number: 7+2= 9
